It all starts with a discovery phase where we work with you to determine your needs and present you with solutions through digital wireframes. After the discovery phase, We’ll use your feedback to design a clean, modern website that is ideal for your target audience and brand. You can this approve this design before we create a single page so that there are no surprises once the site is built!
Definitely! Reviewing your current website will give us an idea of the content, images, and social media you currently have. We’ll ask you what’s working with your current site, what’s not working, and where you believe your site can improve. You can count on us to provide feedback on what we think should be done to your website moving forward.
Your website is all about you and your business goals. For this reason, you will have a great deal of input for your website design. You know your business best and we pledge to take your input very seriously. We're here to take our knowledge and apply it to your business.
Majority of website we produce is custom designed & built. A template involves adding your content into an existing structure. However, a custom design allows us to design around your content rather than placing your content into something that has already been pre-designed. With a custom designed website, you can allow your content to shine and establish your brand.
We offer unlimited revisions during the web design phase. Our goal is to produce a site that is something you’ll love. That being said, we’ll revise it until you’re 100% satisfied.
The web design process typically takes 2 to 3 weeks.
All of the websites we build are on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS).

We have all of my clients fill out a website client questionnaire which helps us to get a broad level overview of the project and what the client is looking to accomplish through their website. Once we have this information, we will have a number of project specific questions and will send a list of items we need before beginning work on the design. We may need things like logins to the current website (if you have one), access to images and photos, links to social media accounts, etc.
Yes! As soon as your website has been built, you’ll have complete control over it. Everything we build is your property. You’re just paying us to design and build it!
While you can contact us for future updates to your website design, we create built-in video tutorials to teach you how to make content updates. You’ll be able to easily update your website without having any coding knowledge.
When it comes to security, we believe the most important aspect is the server. Therefore, I offer a top-notch web hosting platform that we recommend to clients. Beyond that, we update WordPress on a regular basis. Also, the framework we use, integrates tightly with WordPress and is known for excellent security. We also use Word Fence & WP Security, which adds a level of redundancy to the WordPress security. If you are hosting with me, we offer ongoing malware screening. We take a preventative approach to security rather than a reactive one and focus on preventing security issues from ever arising.
Sure! We’d be happy to help you update your existing website for an hourly fee. If your website was not built well, we may recommend rebuilding it.

Get to know our client’s business. Conduct research focused on the industry, its history, and its competitors. Brainstorming on the possible design directions. Sketching and conceptualizing ideas with a pencil and paper. The first variation of logos is created. Presentation to our client. Revisions and modifications. Color choices and variations. Revisions and modifications. Delivery of final files.
Designing a logo is always a custom project and there are no two projects identical in complexity, scope, and outcome. It is an iterative and multi-step process that involves consultations, research, brainstorming, sketches, and several design concepts, revisions, and much more. The price package for a logo will vary depending on the industry, style, technique, time, and effort needed to get the job done.
The turnaround time for a logo depends on feedback, communication, and any additional changes to the design. Our logo design process is collaborative which does take time because your vision is important to us and we want you to walk away proud of your new logo. That being said, our average logo design takes between 2-3 weeks from start to finish
Depending on your budget you will be given a set amount of revisions to start with. However, we understand you may be working with a team or partner which can lead to more than one design vision for your logo. There are times when new ideas may pop up in your discussions mid-design process of your logo. In that case, big changes may occur to the designs we've collaborated on so far. If you need any more changes or concepts beyond the set amount of revisions we charge an hourly rate which will be presented to you upon the discussion of requested design changes for approval prior to proceeding with those extra hours.
Yes, you will own your finalized logo. On completion of the logo design project, and once payment has been made, the copyright for the final agreed logo is automatically transferred to you. However, we do not offer any patent/trademark registration – this is a separate process that is optional on your end.
Yes, you will receive the finalized digital files–AI/vector file, jpeg, and png of your new logo. With these files, your new logo can be used to complete stationery and brand marketing – including but not limited to business cards, letterhead, envelopes, brochure design, websites, mailing labels, presentation folders, and any other designs your business may require.
At the moment our managing partner Yocelyn Riojas is handling illustration inquiries. She has experience working in civic art and advertising. At SparkNerds we do plan on expanding our illustration portfolio soon with other creative illustrators/designers to choose from!
We wish we had a quick answer for this, but like all designs, there are various factors that determine the price for an illustration. Every illustration, as well as the client's needs, are unique and different. Our illustration pricing depends on the complexity of an image, turnaround time, and usage rights. Please get in touch to set up a consultation or fill out our form to get a project estimate.
At the moment we do not, as we are focusing on working with businesses, nonprofits, civic leaders, publishers, magazines and etc.
When hiring an illustrator it is important to understand that you do not buy the copyright work itself, but will receive a license to use the illustration depending on the project–campaign, cover art, product design, etc. This means you as the client do not have unlimited rights because of the commissioned piece. The license usually applies only for the specific project that the artwork is being created for and can come with restrictions like the length of time, medium, size, format, location of use, and more. Larger companies usually will want to buy and own all copyrights to the image created and pay accordingly. As a smaller business or organization, you will not need full ownership of copyrights and can save a lot of money by only licensing what you really need. If you need to acquire further rights, please let us know so we can accommodate the pricing.
Once we finalize the content, budget, and timeline a 50% deposit will be required. A consultation will be held to review the creative brief and after you will receive initial sketches based on the project scope. You will have the opportunity to review sketches to request final revisions before going into color. Remember with illustration you will be limited to minor changes that do not go outside of the project scope with new conceptual input. If your project requires more revisions we are happy to accommodate your requests with an hourly rate which we will discuss prior to approval to continue with the project. Upon completion, you will receive the final deliverables in the file format requested in the beginning.
Apart from logo design, there are many other visual elements of your business, campaign, or organization's branding that will need the right tone in order to achieve recognition. The design that is used on your website and how well this matches your print media design is important for the brand recognition. Layout and design across all your media needs to be of the same consistently high quality and have a style that instantly evokes your brand. When people are reading a brochure or catalog produced by your business, campaign, or nonprofit they need to be able to pick it up on any page and know from the design which brand they are reading about. Form and function need to be considered on an in-depth level to maintain the right balance. Ensuring that every platform is utilized to its full potential, making your brand image stick in people’s minds. Schedule a consultation to see what we can do for you. A graphic will come to symbolize your company more than anything else. Finding a firm that can craft a sophisticated graphic design takes research, open communication, and an honest evaluation of your business and budget. Before the search even begins, determine how much you can spend on the graphic. One thing to keep in mind is that, like any other business investment, the more you put into it, the greater the return. Take a look at our online graphic design portfolio and examine some of our previous work to give you a better idea as to what we do. Be prepared to speak about your company and its story. During your first graphic design consultation, we like to ask you to describe your company’s personality, tone, and future aspirations. Together we will review requirements, aims, and messages or 'call to action' to produce a creative brief. Afterward, during our collaborative process, we will produce initial design solutions and present them for you to review. You will have the opportunity to ask for revisions before finalizing the design and we'll set up your digital deliverables ready for whatever platform you need them for.
On settlement of the agreed project fee, we pass all ownership rights to you - we do reserve the right to display our created graphic designs for promotional purposes. Unless you're working with one of our illustrators that project will require either licensing or a buyout of the design. Other than that you have full ownership of all your other graphic design projects. We hope that's cool with you!
Every design project is custom to the client, so it varies on complexity, content, budget, and turnaround time. We will calculate the time and project scope required to inform you of full costs/breakdown prior to starting.
This is dependant on the time available! Depending on the number of projects we are working on at a time and your project size we will give you a time estimate. It can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months. We are also experts at working on campaign speed and are used to working under tight timelines, but if you need a quick turnaround it will require a rush free since we will have to set aside other projects to do so.
No. I am sorry. We do not do spec work. Our client testimonials and portfolio speak to our quality and creativity. We work hard to be sure you are happy!
